There is no doubt that Arizona is a beautiful, artistic, and adventure-filled state – but are we doing all that we can to capitalize on the Tourism Industry?
Tourism is an extraordinarily important economic driver for a majority of our communities, and when utilized effectively, can bring sustainable economic prosperity to our rural towns. It is important to be keyed into your region’s specific tourism trends to ensure your community’s efforts are being utilized most effectively. We know that visitation trends vary from region to region and tend to fluctuate based on uncontrollable factors such as weather patterns and economic fluctuation.
While it may be difficult for communities to stay up-to-date with this type of data, having a comprehensive understanding of visitation trends can be crucial to leveraging the tourism market.
The Arizona Office of Tourism’s (AOT) Research Division is launching a short webinar series to dive into their analysis of regional visitation data. Join us for a comprehensive look at your community to stay ahead of the curve.
Attendees of these webinars will be presented with region-specific data, including:
- Visitor volume: how many visitors do you see during a specific time of year?
- Visitor profiles: who is coming to your community and why?
- Visa spending data for 2016: how much money are international travelers spending?
- Year-to-date indicators for 2017: most recent data on state park visitation, national park visitation, airport passengers, and lodging data
